FREE ESL CLASSES TO BE OFFERED AT JOHNSON PUBLIC LIBRARY

The International Institute of New Jersey, in conjunction with the Johnson Public Library, is offering free ESL (English as Second Language) classes. The classes will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Johnson Public Library.

New students are still welcome and should register by calling Jovanna at 201.653.3888.

Weekly Citizenship classes are available on Mondays from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. If interested, please see Isaac Annan at the Reference Desk or call him at 201-343-4169 x21.

We offer a one hour Introduction to the Internet class. This basic course teaches people with limited or no Internet experience how to accomplish a few typical Internet tasks (using a search engine, using the library's online catalog, etc.). Participation in this class is limited to those with Johnson Public Library cards and who owe less than ten dollars on their library cards. Classes are not open to residents of other cities. Individual assistance is available for those interested in seeking employment. We can show you how to find materials on interviews and cover letters, find a job in your particular field, and use sources to find information about companies.
