Johnson
Public Library opened on October 5, 1901. The library was a gift
from Mr. William M. Johnson, a state senator who donated land
and funded the library's construction. We have served the Hackensack
community for over one hundred years.
The
Johnson Public Library has completed its historical design and
renovation project of the front facade. You can be part of this
exciting time in our library's history by purchasing a paver
to add to the library's distinguished entrance. Please click

Please
come to the library and use all the services we offer. You may
borrow books, magazines, videos, dvds, and cds with your library
card. Did you know we have many new books in Spanish and some
Spanish videos and cds? We are building a collection of Hindi
dvds also.You can have materials from any BCCLS library delivered
here for you with your Hackensack library card. You can request
the items yourself from the BCCLS
catalog, or ask a Librarian to help you. Pick a pin number
for your library card and use the BCCLS website to see what you
have checked out on your card and renew items yourself day or
night. The library offers Internet access to those with a valid
library card. There are word processors for use. We have several
programs for adults as well as our
programs for children. We hope to see you here soon!
