Johnson Public library members can download and read ebooks on a computer, nook, kindle, iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, and many more devices! The collection includes a wide range of genres, from romance to business...and it's growing everyday! All you need is a library card.

With your library card, you can download from over 100 popular magazines including Bloomberg Businessweek, Martha Stewart Living, Popular Science, National Geograhic, Prevention, and so many more! You can read directly from your browser or from the zinio app for iOS, Kindle Fire, and Android devices.

Freading eBooks

Freading is a downloadable ebook service for Hackensack library card holders. Unlike other services, the entire catalog is available at all times, so there isn't a long wait for the books you'd like to read. Available publishers include Sterling, Sourcebooks, Workman and Kensington, among many others.

Freading ebooks can be accessed via many different devices, including PC and Mac Computers, Apple and most Android devices, ereaders including the Nook, Kobo and Sony Readers, and with a few extra steps, the Kindle Fire. Freegal Music

The Johnson Public Library has subscribed to Freegal Music, a downloadable music service that provides access to the Sony Music Entertainment catalog. It offers hundreds of thousands of songs, over 100 genres of music and more than 50 record labels. Downloads are DRM free and do not require the loading of any particular software onto your computer.

Hackensack library card holders can download three songs per week at no direct cost. To access Freegal music, click here and enter your Johnson Public Library card number. For more information, please view the FAQ on the Freegal Music website.
